BARRI TSAVARIS - SPECIAL PROJECTS DIRECTOR
Barri served as Seoul Players Artistic Director from 2011-2015. She has a BS in Film from Boston University and hails from New York, where she performed and taught improv and sketch comedy for eight years before transplanting herself to Seoul in 2010. Her play I WILL FOLLOW debuted in the 2009 NY International Fringe Festival and NO TAMPONS IN PARADISE was performed and workshopped in New York. Favorite Seoul roles include Ophelia, Tamora in Titus Andronicus, Joan in "Sexual Perversity in Chicago, "the moaner" in The Vagina Monologues, and Germain in "Picasso at the Lapin Agile." Seoul directing credits include David Mamet's "Glengarry Glen Ross," Tom Stoppard's "The Real Inspector Hound," and "The Vagina Monologues" (twice!). Her short play, "Anthropology," won 3rd place in the 2013 Seoul Players Ten Minute Play Festival. |
